It is the website of all websites

Hello and welcome to Sharmin Spencer's website.

After a long time, I have returned to my technological, web creating roots, with a little bit of help, of course. Hopefully this time I will display a bit more maturity and generate a bit more interest from gossipy, ogling audiences. The last time I built a webpage was back in the summer of 2001 when I waxed eloquent about my then favorite sports athlete, and listed all the childish quotes voiced by unsuspecting friends. This time I'll be slightly different. I'll still try to generate some quote worthy quotes, but I won't do anything stupid -- like leave my immature quotes up on my website when I'm looking for jobs at academic institutions. Well, without further ado, I leave you to your browsing while I sign off. Enjoy your visit (to the website of all websites).

  About Me

I am Sharmin, incorrigible, incredible, and in love with big words. Someone once told me that I have a little mind that hides behind big words (check out the link to Writing). The last time I used a big word -- ubiquitous -- I was lecturing to my bored Psych 100 students during their 9am class, and I needed to wake them up fast. That was the only time I saw the dazed dude who majored in Black Studies' face light up. I am a gym rat. I love to sing. I also aspire to be a nerd, a welcome property in the sort of place where I work, academia. In 2000 I told my friend, Kirk, whose eyes gleamed as he explained some complicated statistics to me, that I wished I could be a nerd too. THAANKS is what he said in response, but my sentiment back then was the same as it is now: genunine and longing. I have a few good friends and many faraway fans. I like to ramble as you can well see. I like to make people smile. And I love to cook up a lean mean spicy meal. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING tops my love for laughing out loud long and hard at funny people's funny faces. HAHAHAHA!
